The inaugural Young Leaders Programme took place from the 13th to the 16th of April, 2023, and was themed ‘A Quest for a Better Tomorrow.’ The cohort spent a day in New Delhi, followed by 3 days in Bengaluru. The programme placed an emphasis on cultural exchange between the groups and showcasing the growing Indian economy in a post-covid world. The Young Leaders connected with one another and left the programme inspired and energized by mutual understanding and excitement for the future relations between their countries and themselves.

With 25 Young Leaders present, the group enjoyed a mixture of discussion sessions, site visits and cultural visits, including:

• Meeting the Vice President of India Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar
• Visiting Humayun’s Tomb with the brilliant author and historian, William Darlymple
• A private preview of EV start-up Ultraviolette’s new showroom and presentation by their co-founder, Niraj Rajmohan
• A panel discussion with start-up founders hosted by Manish Sabharwal
• A visit to Capgemini India’s office and meeting with CEO Ashwin Yardi
• Watching an IPL match
• A private meeting with Shri Shri Ravishankar at the Art of Living Ashram
